Happy Friday, everybody!
The Bulletproof Coffin: Disinterred #1
So cool, so weird. A bit beyond description, but perfect if you’re looking to read something refreshingly different.
Alpha Flight #8
I’m going to miss this series! I had never read any Alpha Flight before, but this limited series/then ongoing series/finally limited series has made me a fan of Canada’s finest super hero team. This final issue is a great ending to what was an entertaining 8 issue run.
American Vampire #23
I have to admit, American Vampire had kind of lost me with the last couple story arcs. I found them a bit… lacking, especially compared to how great the series was right out of the gate. Luckily, this current “Death Race” story is a return to form. Love the ’50s aesthetic, love vampire hunter car chases, all wonderful stuff.
The Walking Dead #93
Oh boy, I love it when Robert Kirkman starts shakin’ things up in the Walking Dead world. Big stuff’s happening, guys! (Trying to keep these things spoiler free, so that’s all I’m going to say.)
It was a bit of a light week for me single issue-wise, but some must read collections came out this week: Mark Waid’s Daredevil volume 1 in hardcover and the brilliant Sweet Tooth volume 4 in trade paperback. Get into it.
