What we do know is that Alex will be here at SHQ on Friday, October 4th with copies of his brand new Blobby Boys collection and some rad art to hang on the walls. This Wednesday, September 11th from 7-9 PM, join Secret Headquarters and Drawn & Quarterly for an evening with cartoonist Brian Ralph (The Cave-In, Daybreak) to celebrate the launch of the highly-anticipated Reggie-12, a hilarious pop-culture send-up of the infallible boy hero first presented in the seminal Asian culture magazine Giant Robot.Reggie-12 is a young robot with endless enthusiasm. He lives with a bumbling sad-sack friend, a wise-cracking cat, and a well-meaning but forgetful inventor. Laughs explode from the page in this work, which reinterprets classic Japanese adventure manga through Brian Ralph’s trademark style. Come along for a wild ride with Reggie-12, Casper, and Professor Tinkerton as they eat pizza, play video games, and get dissed by bad guys.

We are very happy to be hosting artist and animator Ben Jones this Friday, July 26th beginning at 7pm. Ben will be signing copies of his latest release, Men’s Group: The Video. The massive book collects the last five years of his paintings, comics, drawings, products and videos, and was published for his solo exhibit at MOCA. Come by and ask Ben who his favorite Yo Gabba Gabba character is.

We are terrifically jazzed to welcome back local artist, creator of Nickelodeon’s “Sanjay and Craig”, and all around friendly dude Jay Howell to SHQ. His “Creep Club” show last year was a resounding success and total party, and this show is guaranteed to be even party-er. There will be drawings (on Shel Silverstein pages, no less) and sculptures for sale, as well as a couple exclusive SHQ-Howell collaborations. See below for details!
